Modified Basketball
Not every drill calls for a standard game ball. Modified basketballs give coaches, schools and developing players different ways to work on handling, shooting and coordination using smaller, softer or oversized designs. Shop our range online and find a ball that matches the skill or session you’re planning.
Explore modified basketballs for different training goals
The right ball can change the pace, difficulty and focus of a session, giving players a different way to work on core basketball skills.
Indoor mini and junior basketballs
Our junior basketballs include Size 3 and mini options that give developing players a more manageable ball for dribbling, passing and general ball control. The range also includes compact PVC basketballs in 10 cm, 15 cm and 21 cm sizes, giving coaches more flexibility when planning activities for different age groups.
Soft and PVC basketballs
Foamed vinyl and PVC designs offer a different feel to traditional rubber basketballs. Options such as the Soft Series Basketball use a tactile surface for grip, while heavy-duty PVC models come in multiple sizes and colours.
RainbowZ basketball sets
RainbowZ sets include six modified basketballs in different colours, with 15 cm and 21 cm options available. They’re useful for group activities where multiple players need a ball at once, and the colour coding can also help coaches organise stations, teams or rotating drills.
Oversized basketball training aids
Modified does not always mean smaller. The Giant Oversize Training Aid Basketball has a 36-inch circumference while keeping the same weight as an official Size 7 ball. Its larger diameter makes the hoop feel like a tighter target, adding an extra challenge to shooting practice. It can also be worked into passing, rebounding and ball-handling drills when you want to change the usual training stimulus.
